About SkipSynthetic

We read clothing labels so you don't have to — the real composition, not the marketing headline.

Why this exists

Try to buy a plain T-shirt without plastic in it. The product title says “100% cotton”; the fine print says the collar ribbing has elastane, the stitching is polyester, and the “soft brushed interior” is acrylic. Synthetic fibers now make up roughly two-thirds of global fiber production, and labels are written to make that hard to notice.

SkipSynthetic exists for people who want to wear cotton, linen, wool, and silk — actual fibers from plants and animals — and don't want to spend twenty minutes per garment finding out whether they really are.

How it works

What money can't buy here

For brands & retailers

If you make clothing from natural fibers and want it listed here, we'd like to hear from you. We list products through affiliate-network product feeds (Awin), so the fastest path is approving our publisher application — your qualifying products are then picked up automatically. The same honest tiering applies to everyone: we'll show your 100% linen shirt proudly and exclude your poly-blend one.
